What if I’m slow? We welcome all levels or riders, fast or slow! As long as you show up for practice you will keep getting stronger and your skills will develop. We offer skills classes near the beginning of the season. We divide up our riding groups by fitness level.
6th-12th from all Classical schools
The head coach and team director will send out emails each week regarding practices, upcoming events and races. The team also uses the app, TeamSnap to manage our calendar. Additionally, all information about the team can be found on this website.
The fee paid to register for the league covers operating costs and insurance.
Nope! The mountain bike team is NOT part of CIF and therefore doesn’t fall under the same requirements. You DO however have to register with the league, have a parent sign all waivers, and complete a health form. All riders are expected to sign a code of conduct form as well.
Yes, but a limited number of loaner bikes may be available. Loaner bikes must be maintained by those borrowing the bike for the season.
Yes. Letters are available to those interested in receiving one for their participation on the team.
Yes. It is possible but you must be responsible for making all your practices and keep your studies a priority. Our season runs from December 1-early May therefore it is common for athletes to start the mtb team and then also start a spring sport in February.
Registration opens on October 1st. October-November includes occasional skills classes, coach rides and training, and social gatherings. The kick-off event is the first Saturday of December. The season ends the second week of May with the end-of-season banquet
Practices are on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school for 60-90 minutes, as well as on Saturdays at 10 am for 2-3 hours.Weekday times vary depending on daylight.
Registration for all league races will occur on the CCN Website, where you originally registered for the league.
