Races are optional, but we encourage every rider to try one race! Middle school races occur on Saturday afternoons and high schoolers race on Sunday. There are upwards of 1,000 racers over the weekend! Many of the races draw teams and families for the weekend (camping is optional!) Even if our riders chose not to race, we highly encourage coming out to cheer on teammates. RACE TRAINING, strategy, "race craft" and ALL support is provided by your coaches. You will be well prepared for your first race!
For the latest race updates, make sure to visit the SoCal Racing Page. The race flyer includes crucial information.
You must register on the CCN website before attending a race, with registration typically closing on the Tuesday before the race. Late registration might be possible for an additional fee.
You'll receive a race plate with an RFID chip for the entire year. If it's lost, a replacement can be bought for $10.
Expect long lines at race entrances, so arriving early is recommended.
Usually, warm-up time is 30-45 minutes before the race starts.
You can access the race rule book here.
It's highly recommended that all riders pre-ride the course; pre-ride details are in the race flyer.
Food trucks are usually available at the race venue.
If you're interested in camping at the race location, please reach out to us for more information.
Expect our coaches to provide you with comprehensive insights into race strategy, pacing tips, hydration guidelines, and any last-minute updates before the event.
